Application Maintenance and Support

Your application works, but nobody owns fixing it, updating it or restoring it when something breaks.

The approach

How we work on it

  1. Take stock of the code, hosting, backups, renewals and who holds which credentials.
  2. Agree what is covered, how issues are reported and how fast we respond.
  3. Apply updates and security fixes on a schedule, with a rollback plan.
  4. Report what was done and what needs a decision.

What you receive

Typical deliverables

  • Maintenance scope and response expectations
  • Issue tracking and a support route
  • Backup and restore checks
  • Periodic summary of work done

What we will and will not promise

Response targets are agreed in writing per engagement. We do not publish an uptime percentage we cannot evidence.

How an engagement runs

Discover, propose, deliver, support

The same four stages apply to every Incipit practice, so you always know what has been agreed and what happens next.

  1. 01

    Discover

We learn the business need, the people who will use the result and the constraints, before any solution is proposed.

  2. 02

    Propose

Scope, milestones, responsibilities and ownership are agreed in a written proposal.

  3. 03

    Deliver

Work is built in milestones. You review working builds and approve each stage before the next begins.

  4. 04

    Support

Handover of code and documentation as agreed, with maintenance and support available afterwards.

Technology

What we build with

  • ASP.NET MVC
