How to read this history
Every period below rests on one of three kinds of evidence: company records kept by Incipit, captures of the incipit.in website held by the Internet Archive, and public release records for software products. Where a period has none of these, we say so instead of filling it.
This is a reconstructed public history, not an audited corporate chronicle. It does not include social-media posts or photographs from the early years, because those have not been recovered and cannot be republished without the owner's permission.
2013: the beginning
Incipit publicly traces its beginning to 2013 in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, at the point where human resources consulting and information technology met. The idea was simple: technology projects need skilled people, and recruitment increasingly depends on technology.
The Internet Archive first captured the incipit.in address in August 2013, so the domain existed that year. The archived page itself can no longer be read, so it tells us the domain was live, not what the business offered. An earlier company profile gives 2014. Until the founding year is confirmed against legal records, we write "publicly stated 2013" and never "founded in 2013" as a legal fact.
2014 to 2021: software development for local and regional businesses
Company records describe software development work for local and regional businesses from December 2014 to November 2017, continuing and widening from December 2017 to November 2021. An earlier listing describes the offer as software development, payroll systems, school-related software and business applications.
From 2018 to 2021 the Internet Archive holds only redirects for the site, so no page content from that stretch survives. We therefore describe this period in one paragraph and do not list client projects we cannot document.
2021 to 2023: recruitment under the Incipit Group name
Historical LinkedIn activity from 2021 and 2022 under the Incipit Group identity shows recruitment and software developer hiring. The archived site of 11 February 2022, titled Incipit Group of Companies, presents a staffing and recruitment service with a Jhansi base: pages to apply for jobs and post a job, a software developer vacancy using ASP.NET MVC, interview sessions, internships and a software demonstration.
The same site listed learning pages on subjects such as Power BI, Python and database management. Training is part of the company's biography and is not a current service.
In 2023 company records document recruitment, candidate coordination and a technical support function running alongside software work.
2024: online processes and a payroll initiative
- January: an online complaint and service-request process is introduced through the website.
- February: website enquiry routing and company mailbox infrastructure are in use.
- March: an HR and payroll software initiative is prepared for stakeholder trials, and structured website development proposals are delivered to external clients.
- April: an online career application area and a client registration process are documented.
- Through the year the archived site carried a blog, a client portfolio page and career-guidance pages (resume writing, interview preparation, mentorship). The career-guidance pages describe earlier offerings and are not current services.
2025
This history has no 2025 milestone that we can support with a record, so none is listed. The Internet Archive shows the domain still answering requests that year.
2026: client migrations, products and a rebuilt site
- May and June: branding exploration, expanded service positioning, software product development and portfolio planning.
- July: client website migration and maintenance records, including Shonee Kapoor and The Spiritual Bestie.
- September: SkillSync, an Android trainer-coordination app, reaches a validated build (APK 3.80.16.193).
- 4 October: InkIt 0.0.0.2, a free Windows screen-annotation tool, is published as a public release to gather real user feedback.
- October: a rebuilt public website, the Client Delivery CRM, technical testing and a search-visibility plan, with Incipit presented through six connected practices.
- November: the company's current working locations are set out below.
Where Incipit works today
Incipit began in Jhansi and works today from Jhansi, Lucknow, Varanasi, Mumbai, Delhi and Gurgaon, with remote delivery to clients across India and abroad. We do not publish street addresses on this site, and we describe the locations on one page instead of creating a page per city.
Names used over the years
The public brand is Incipit. Earlier versions of the website used Incipit Group, and in places other trading names, and a ConsultEdge label that has been retired. Only the current brand appears across this site.
What this history does not claim
- A legal incorporation date. 2013 is the publicly stated beginning.
- Uninterrupted operation in every year since 2013.
- Numbers of clients, employees or delivered projects, revenue, awards, certifications or partnerships. None are published because none are documented.
- Testimonials. Quotations that appeared on earlier site versions were template placeholders and are not used.
What comes next
The documented priorities are gathering feedback on the InkIt early release, continuing development of SkillSync and Guidr, and improving the public website and its search visibility. No release dates are promised. Products are described at their real stage on the products page.

- Registration and ownership details, which are not published until confirmed from records.
- Dated photographs, early logos and announcements, which can be added when the owner supplies them.
