1. What you can ask for
- A summary of the personal data we process about you and the processing we do with it, and the other organisations we have shared it with.
- Correction of data that is wrong, and completion or updating of data that is incomplete or out of date.
- Erasure of data that is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for, unless we must keep it by law.
- Withdrawal of consent you gave us, for example to stop the newsletter or analytics.
- Nomination of another person to exercise your rights if you die or are unable to.
2. How to make a request
Email info@incipit.in with the subject line "Data request", from the address we hold for you. Tell us what you are asking for and which service or form your data relates to. You can also use the Contact page.
To protect your data we may ask you to confirm your identity before we act, and we ask only for what is needed to do that. We do not charge a fee for these requests.
3. What happens next
- We aim to confirm that we received your request within 7 days.
- We aim to give you our response within 30 days. If it will take longer, or the law lets us decline part of the request, we will tell you why.
- These are our operating targets, not legal deadlines. Where the law sets a shorter period, we follow the law.
- If you asked us to delete data held for a client's project, we may need to pass the request to that client, because the client decides what happens to its own users' data.
4. Grievance redressal
If you have a complaint about how we handled your personal data or your request, write to info@incipit.in with the subject line "Grievance". The complaint is handled by the authorised business administrator. We will acknowledge it, look into it, and reply with the outcome and the reasons
If you are not satisfied with our reply you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, after you have used our grievance process.
5. Withdrawing analytics consent
Optional analytics is off unless you accept it. You can accept, reject or change your choice at any time with the Cookie preferences link in the footer or on the Cookie Policy page. The choice is stored in your browser.
